Blade Infrastructure

A journey of 10 million miles could end with inspiring the next generation

Our earliest work in blade repurposing helped establish the case that end-of-life blades had intrinsic value and that landfill need never be the only answer. Those projects earned widespread recognition and helped shape the thinking that ultimately led to our scalable material solution, BladeBoard®.

Today, repurposed blade products remain a small but meaningful part of what we do. For clients who want an item that tells a story, anchors a community space, or puts their sustainability values on permanent, visible display, we still take on carefully selected commissions. These are one-of-a-kind pieces, crafted with the same material knowledge and circular economy principles that underpin everything Reblade does.

Carbon Locked In

We have developed and tested robust material heirarchy frameworks that enable structurally sound decommissioned blades to be repurposed.

Our skilled technicians can use these frameworks to create functional products that have been highly praised as examples of the circular economy in action.

Blade derived public realm infrastructure means that decommissioned wind turbine blades can be given a purposeful second-life, leveraging the material strength and locking in many tonnes of embodied carbon.

Demonstrate Your Sustainability Values

Blade derived products can add value to your community engagement and corporate messaging, and we can work with you to ensure the final destination of your blades maximises your CSR opportunities.

Your blade waste could power active travel like bike shelters, it could be transformed into functional community legacy infrastructure such as benches or walkways or it could help train future technicians at a local college.

We can design bespoke solutions for your blades, or we can talk you through some of our tried and tested options.
