Building a business isn’t always about the grand strategy sessions or the polished boardrooms. Sometimes, the most important work happens when you’re standing in a freezing windfarm in the Highlands.
Building a business isn’t always about the grand strategy sessions or the polished boardrooms. Sometimes, the most important work happens when you’re standing in a freezing windfarm in the Highlands as can be witnessed by this picture I took on Friday last week in -9 windchill!
Yes, the scenery is stupendous, but trust me when I say for 95% of the time you can't see it and you end up cursing it when the rain/sleet/snow is coming at you sideways and making you chilled to the bone!
While most people were enjoying the festive break the Reblade team was on-site, working straight through Christmas and New Year facing the very worst of the Scottish winter.
We still have a few weeks of hard graft ahead of us to see this project through to the end, but the resilience shown by the team has been nothing short of world-class.
What this project really demonstrates is how much Reblade has grown. We are now managing large-scale, complex decommissioning projects from start to finish.
This means we aren’t just 'helping out'; we are responsible for heavy plant, for site safety, the waste management and everything else in between.
We lean into the 'hard stuff' because we’ve listened to our customers, and we know that’s exactly where the most significant value is recovered for them.
By managing the entire process end-to-end, from crafting the initial decommissioning strategies and technical plans to the physical reality of the onsite works, we take the weight off our clients' shoulders.
It allows us to ensure that decommissioning and site restoration is handled with meticulous care, and that ultimately, a client’s decommissioning and restoration ESG approach stands up to the highest level of scrutiny.
As the industry matures, the scale of decommissioning is only going to grow.
We’ve built a team that plans for that future in the language of the boardroom, while also having the grit to deliver it on the ground - no matter what the weather throws at us.
If you’re looking for a partner to manage the 'heavy lifting' of your next decommissioning project, we would love to chat about how our team can support you.
